Tom has more than 30 years’ experience in the commercial real estate and the A/E/C industries and has developed numerous commercial real estate projects in multiple asset classes. He has led projects from inception to final lease-up with particular expertise in master planning, the rezoning process, permitting, finance, and project management. He has permitted complex projects in challenging communities and solved difficult budget and financing problems to move projects forward. Tom’s experience leading due diligence investigations and capital planning exercises on commercial real estate properties gives him a broad perspective on the entire real estate cycle.
He began his career as a consulting engineer, later developing and operating several commercial real estate properties. These experiences enable Tom to add significant depth to our development advisory services practice, combining an owner’s mindset and an engineer’s skillset.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Suffolk University. He is a registered Professional Engineer.
Tom is involved in many civic organizations; former affiliations include the Massachusetts Department of Public Safety’s Board of Building Regulations and Standards, South Weymouth Naval Air Station Planning Committee, and the Board of Trustees for Codman Academy Charter Public School.
