Richard is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in real estate development, construction operations and engineering for commercial, residential and mixed-use buildings. As a senior development advisor, Rick represents and advises owners through project oversight, monitoring and management. He has managed all staff activities and financial and administrative duties for many new high-rise buildings, hotels and more than four million square feet of commercial conversions in New York City.
Richard started his career with a large engineering firm, LZA/Thornton–Tomasetti, providing designs and analysis of structural steel and reinforced concrete in buildings, bridges and military installations. Later, he ran his own general contracting and construction management business, partnering with an architect and completing forward-thinking designs for medical facilities, restaurants and cafes, commercial and corporate interiors, and photo studios.
Richard has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from City College of New York University.
Richard’s past hobbies include writing code for websites, company imaging and design which transformed three companies into unique and diverse firms. Outside of business, he enjoys family life, vacationing and sports.
