Jim has more than 30 years’ experience in the engineering design and construction fields and has been with C3 since 1990. As a C3 principal, Jim oversees and manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the company’s mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, and information technologies design engineering divisions.
Jim has spearheaded the company’s growth from its two original members to approximately 40 full-time engineers, designers and supporting staff. Together, they have completed designs and managed the installations for more than 75 million square feet of commercial, institutional, manufacturing and bio-technology space.
Prior to joining C3, Jim provided consulting engineering services to the facility departments of Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Wellesley college, where he specialized in developing and implementing energy conservation measures, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars for these institutions.
Jim holds an associate degree in mechanical power engineering and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering technology from Wentworth Institute of Technology. He is a member of ASHRAE and ASPE.
Jim takes great pride in his family which takes up all his spare time outside of the office. He and his wife Cheryl can be found zipping around town on his motorcycle or chasing after their grandchildren. Jim was active in town sports and he is proud that his girls all agree that he was the “worst” coach they ever had.
