Doug has more than 30 years’ experience in building engineering and construction. He joined C3 in 2007 to provide in-house code consulting for the firm’s MEP engineering and due diligence services. He established our code consulting group and he oversees all aspects of code consulting services for C3 clients. Doug’s past employment experience as a plans examiner with the City of Boston Inspectional Services Department (ISD) gives him a unique perspective on codes compliance, enforcement and interpretation.
Prior to ISD, Doug’s work at MIT/Lincoln Laboratory introduced him to MEP/FP systems in research laboratory and office settings. In his first job out of college for an industrial OEM in Maryland, Doug engineered and supervised final inspections of, and managed commissioning of, multi-million-dollar process equipment at paper mills, power plants and similar industrial facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Doug holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Boston College.
When he’s not working for C3 clients, Doug enjoys gardening and road cycling.
