Engineering systems from an owner’s perspective

Engineering is at the heart of our services. For more than two decades, C3 has built an unparalleled reputation for our skill in Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems design and engineering, including Fire Safety and HVAC. Our experience spans a wide range of building types—biomedical, commercial office and retail, manufacturing and higher education. One of our proudest accomplishments was the MEP Design of the one-million-square-foot State Street Financial Center Tower in Downtown Boston, the state-of-the-art, energy efficient headquarters for State Street Corporation, followed by State Street’s new 500,000-square-foot building at One Channel Center completed in 2014.

Knowing what works for buildings and owners

Buildings have to work, but they have to work within the context of the owner’s needs and goals. As engineers, we listen carefully to our clients. We take on the owner’s mindset, planning capital expenditures and assessing building conditions as if the financial implications were our own. We engineer strategically—never “over engineering,” always mindful of the owner’s goals and where each building is in the Real Estate Life Cycle.

A passion for details

We are obsessively thorough down to the last detail. Our senior engineers work day-to-day on projects instead of assigning all tasks to junior staff. We never take the standard, easy approach—we’re there, on the site, on ladders, getting our hands dirty. We doggedly pursue the owner’s interest at every stage.
