Middlesex School: For an Historic Campus, All Encompassing Facilities Consulting
Our client had a need to streamline the long term Capital Planning needs of its existing campus and needed technical and business guidance on the costs, options and timing related to Capital Planning, renovations and expansion options, and building upgrades. C3 completed a technical review of the entire campus to develop a Capital Planning needs report to preserve the existing buildings. Within this report we also listed opportunities for long term upgrades to the central utility infrastructure which will be implemented over the coming years. After the Capital Planning was complete, C3’s Building Envelope group prepared plans and managed a multi-year preservation effort on the facades, roofs, and windows, and our MEP Engineering group is working on capital projects for the campus life safety systems. Our project management group is coordinating the long range planning effort to study renovation and expansion options followed by management of the design and construction process. The result is the phased implementation of capital preservation work on existing buildings, and efficient planning and costing guidance for future renovation and new construction projects.
