David Ickes Image David Ickes, AIA, LEED AP
Senior Construction Project Manager

David Ickes has been an Architect for over 25 years, almost exclusively in the management of institutional and educational planning, design and construction. David is the lead architect for C3 and has held senior project management positions responsible for all phases of construction projects from residence halls to student centers, sports complexes, science and lab buildings, parking garages and site improvements. He spent 14 years in the planning and construction group at Boston College and most recently held the position of senior construction project manager before coming to C3 in 2003. He is recognized for providing a valuable understanding of the lead architect’s role in a construction project, whether ground up or renovation, from conception through completion.

David holds a BS in Science and a BS in Architecture from Kent State University. He also attended the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies in New York City. The IAUS program was organized around a rigorous study of the history and theory of architecture and an intensive design tutorial taught by the Institute’s fellows. This educational background in architecture, design, and his years of planning and construction at Boston College, has proven an invaluable asset for C3. David is a member of the American Institute of Architects, Boston Society of Architects, National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, Construction Specification Institute and is a LEED accredited professional.

David lettered in cross country and track in high school, but recently has been more involved in baseball than in a good running regiment. He was active in the architect’s softball league for many years until an untimely knee injury ended his stellar career. He is currently coaching little league baseball in Bolton and supporting the local scouting efforts. Once a season ticket holder for all NCAA sports at Boston College, David has not retired his Alumni Stadium BC Football seats and still enjoys tailgate parties. Joining a golf league a few years ago, David is still in pursuit of that elusive single-digit handicap.
